Now if I go down to Millington on Dec 19th, will I be sitting in the hotel for Christmas and new years, or will I be back for new years, do they even do training on those days?

I was noticing that today as well denali I was on my way back from Indianapolis this morning and was counting swift trucks, counted 28 between angola and Battle Creek.. -
I went to Millington and am glad I did. Swift has it's ups and downs just like any job but I'm out here making double the money or more than some of my friends back home. As long as you can stand being on the road for weeks at a time and can take a little BS from time to time you should do well.

Regarding holidays and Millington. I have no idea. But I can almost guarantee Swift will not want to spend money on four trips back and forth. You will likely be at the academy over the holidays. The 19th of December is not the greatest time to go to the academy if you expect to be home for the holidays.
Just sayin. -

Again, I can't say for sure. But. I believe Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day are days off from class.
The best to find out would be to call the academy and ask.BigBusMan Thanks this. -
Thanks Injun, I will make sure I call and ask the recruiter..=}
