Since Roehl does not allow drivers to have refrigerators, microwaves, or tv's in their trucks, what do Roehl drivers do during downtime for entertainment, eating, etc.? They allow inverters that you buy from them, but a 2 hour usage limit? Also, how do you stay warm during the cold weather conditions when they frown on idling? If someone is OTR, they should have the basic comforts of home without hassles.
Comforts of home with Roehl?

No wonder they're always looking for drivers.
You can run a tv off of a 12v port and it does ZIP to a set of batteries on a 10hr break.
As far as not idling... if they have this policy and no APUs, I'd not work there.
I sleep better with the truck off. But, if it's hot out, or very cold, a human being deserves comfort.
THEY have heat and air in the office and at home. They expect you to live like an animal??
Consider all of this before signing on anywhere.BlueThunderr, Western flyer, Jazz1 and 7 others Thank this. -
Any current Roehl drivers that can confirm my post, or am I mistaken?
Don -
Our trucks have epu's and auto start or opti idle depending on what you get. You can purchase a 12volt inverter through maintenance and have them install it. My truck has stuff I own. Microwave 12" skillet toaster coffee pot 27" tv DVD player. Duo mini pot . 45 quart wynmter freezer. 28qt thermo electric cooler. I live very comfortable warm in winter cool in summer and average over 3000 miles every week.

When did Roehl start allowing inverters? Did you say a 12 volt inverter?
-
Total bull plop from a one post wonder. Somebody in the recruiting department thought they came up with an original idea.
Sorry sport, we've seen this nonsense enough to sniff it out quick.BlueThunderr, intrepidor, Western flyer and 4 others Thank this. -
No TV in the truck, did a recruiter tell you this?
-
A recruiter did tell me no tv's and inverters, but then I see on Roehl's website that they are getting inverters in their 2019 trucks. What exactly does Roehl have on their trucks and what are company drivers allowed to use in them?Dan.S Thanks this.
-
Well, driver...you don't get to have entertainment because YOU are the entertainment yourself. They have driver facing cameras in their fleet POS trucks.
So Roehl's disabling driver facing cameras. • r/Truckers -
I don't know what's on them, but i know they have a fair number of idiots in them.Sirscrapntruckalot, hagarcobra and Western flyer Thank this.
