Does anybody have experience having braces so that you can't miss your monthly appointment but your truck company doesn't let you go at that appointment date?
Just worried that might happen.

you need to stay local, with all your problems ~~~~
drive for Lowes or something, you'll make as much or more than OTR.... -
Oh it will! You are probably going to want to find a dentist near whatever company you work for. This is the only way I can remotely see you making that appointment every month. When my wife and I were over the road our primary doctor was at the walk-in clinic. Luckily we have a good family friend that is a dentist and would see us when we came into town. In trucking the only thing you can plan on is the plan changing. Good luck!
lupe Thanks this. -
If you have a regular doctors appointment you need to advise your dispatcher. Most will try to accommodate your needs, but it is not something any can guarantee. Due to the nature of this business, most carriers cannot afford to pay a driver to go home unless there is a load that will get them through the house. Freight is up and down and with the current economic situation there is no way most carriers can guarantee that they can get you home on a certain day each month. If you do have regular appointments you may need to try and get home a day or two before your appointment so that you can actually be able to see your doctor. If not, then you may want to consider doing something else until you get your braces off.
