I would love to move to a greener sate. The wife,no. So we stay.

Living in Tooele a normal commute is an hour so SLC is not to far. Still better than San Jose CA.

I was hoping you'd chim in CHINATOWN. I have read a lot of your advice to other posters and it has all been sound. Thanks for the help.

I'd like to move overseas again, but the wife is stalling. She might give in. We have a beautiful home over there and the cost of living is cheaper.
We just moved to Las Vegas/Henderson this past May and I really love it here also.

I live in the mountains of Southern VA and you hear Banjos here, but cost of living is really cheap... for example My neighbor just purchased a 2 story farm house, Full size garage with 16 acres of land for $60,000...

I'm familiar with that lifestyle; born and raised in Tennessee.

The only thing I’m gonna add to this is about the op’s nerve damage cause by the air seat.

I myself have never ever stop trucking for any kind of injury. I suck it up and go. Only time I was down was in my teen years. I broke my ankle during a fight(got pushed off a porch). I had a cast all the way up leg. I couldn’t bend it. But weeks later when I got a new cast below my knee..... I got back in the the truck. And this is flatbed trucking.

I have had stiff back and many injuries that would put any man down... I just sucked it up and kept moving.

Now at 57, I have some rotator cup issues in my shoulders and that still does not stop me from throwing my chains over my loads. The more I move, the better I get. Just my .02. Today’s generation gets a cold and they want to stay home. Go figure

Do not go to 1845 they have a horrible rep. There's a ton of small outfits that will treat you better. Not much positive to say about them on here or from drivers I've met out in the field.

I would look into a 3rd party logistics company (moving other companies equipment around and eld exempt) you can really make bank if you get in the right spot and you learn a lot of different aspects of the industry from moving all types of equipment

A married person cannot become a single person again, you are divorced not single.

I'm in the exact same situation fwiw.

I'd rather do exactly what I want than have another relationship. And it is very stressful and takes a lot of energy (for me) to constantly deal with another person's emotions.

I've worked with torn muscles in my back, I only missed an hour of work when a tool bit went in my hand , off the bone and out the other side. I have even gotten to work on time and worked hard with self inflicted alcohol poisoning. But when you can't walk or work a clutch that is where I draw the line. Go figure
