Specifically, the medical people require a "fit for duty" letter that is 4 pages long, along with a copy of the doctor's notes from the last visit. They do want this direct from the doctor, so plan on going through this. If i could get you the fax # and fit for duty scan, I would....

Well, the blood pressure is well under control now. It's well below the 140/90 buffer. That is some welcoming news for me. Also, my move to Nashville is well underway (almost have my entire apartment packed up).
Studying for the exams are going well. The air brake section is really confusing me at the moment, however. I'll just have to hit it harder and read up on some further explanations for it during the month of January.
Oh...and my wife has said for everyone that has helped me, she is going to fix cookies for them. They are awesome. Trust me. -
Congratulations! What kind of cookies? Lol

Update from my recruiter on the blood pressure. Because of the fact that I will be on the medication for more than 30 days from the original diagnosis and prescribing when I reach orientation, I will not need a letter from the doctor for the blood pressure situation.
I will, however, have the contact information for the doctor's office and fax number just in case they need it when I do my physical. Also, a little hiccup almost came into being. I got an email from my recruiter confirming a bus number - seems her file was slightly messed up on me. Orientation was set for the 31st on everything that was sent to me, but she forgot the 1 and had me scheduled for 1/3/2011.
With my phone call, she adjusted it and will cancel out my original ticket. I'll be that way at the end of January. If I'm able to get my tax return before then (which there is a possibility) I'm going to try and get my CDL at home. If not, then I'll do it at Prime. I know people say do it at home because it'll mess with the time you have free - but I'm confident I can do it at Prime. Wouldn't be my first time I had to pass a big test under large amounts of stress - I had 5 years practice at college! -
My wife and I successfully completed our move to Tennessee, right outside of Nashville. Loving the warm weather at the moment. Now, it's time for me to relax for a little while - study for a CDL exam - and catch up with family in the area.

You mean the permit tests? They're not hard. I got my permit here. Is better to have it out of the way first though

Hey folks. I thought I would give an update on things. My expected orientation date is 1/31/2012 - however, I may have to delay a week. I'm waiting for my tax refund so I can secure my car payments for January and February and then bring the 150.00 with me for the processing. (Also have to get a refill on my blood pressure medication.)
So - currently I'm sitting at a family's home in Nashville, TN still....waiting patiently for the government to give me my money. If I get it this week, then I'll be on the bus this Sunday night and be in SPRINGMO on Monday. If not, I'll be that way in a week or so. -
Making progress!!! Itll be a nice bus ride from Nashville. Just keep your eye on that prize!
