Commercial vehicle definition and rules help

    Find out what your town defines as a commercial vehicle. It may be worded to mean straight trucks & bobtail trucks, but not pickups.

    Then figure out what your state requires as far as plates for the truck & trailer. You can possibly get certain plates to let you fully use the truck & trailer, but not be fully commercial.

    BTW, I'm curious what a guy would use a 30k gooseneck for that isn't commercial? Collector of old equipment?

    I have a f750 I use to haul the race cars that is tagged at 25,999. If I bumped it up a few pounds for a bigger trailer it would be CDL territory even tho it is private use.
