Are my empty miles still good if I drive to the pick up and get dispatched tomorrow? My fuel is good to get me through the day and I can worry about that tomorrow. No one is in the office to dispatch me and I need to get to get closer to this pick up.

Do you know for certain that you'll be loading there?

It depends on your company and their policies. NOBODY on this forum can read the mind of your boss or dispatcher. Phone everyone at your company until you get an answer. Use google to find a phone number, call anyone else at the company you know and get any phone number they have for others at the company.

So, you're saying bossman said he had a load for you in Possum Breadth, Ar. (just an example) and he will dispatch you the PU info, but hasen't as yet, and you want to know if you should venture that way ? Well, this is trucking and things change, or not. You will feel a little goofy if you head that way, and bossman gives you a different dispatch, which was 10 mi from where you're sitting right now.

Honestly, as I read this, I get the feeling you're trying to get some miles on this paycheck. Problem is, if you didn't have a firm dispatch, you might be screwing yourself.
    Good luck.

    buddyd157 and tscottme Thank this.
