In all seriousness, the rejection from low wage jobs like fast-food seems to be prevalent when having to move from a higher paying job. I talked to a couple of people I knew in the area who were forced out of trucking for awhile. Places like McFakeFood and even the local convenience store wouldn't take them on possibly due to their past job listings on their applications and the money the hiring managers thought it entailed.

Then again, this sort of action was prevalent among persons from other, slightly higher paying fields that hit their rut and had to find something to keep them afloat.

It would be poodle to run just tractors; they need trailers with max weight axels. There should also be a Heavy Haul division just to watch the pit crew change tires on the trailer.

    Could always run for President....
    Seems like anyone can....

Any job in the trades is pretty easy these to get days. Electrical, HVAC, Welding, Plumbing, tradespeople are actually highly sought after now.

Best things to get into for those of us that have an affinity for the technical routes, but have trouble grasping the high maths and hard sciences. At the very least, a technical/vocational certification leads to a decently paying position that will enable the continuing conquest of the academic disciplines needed for an engineering degree, or something of that caliber.

Ive found many ex drivers working in aviation, but they all hate it. Aviation is a horribly cut throat business and I know. Ive been in it now for ten years and Im trying to get back out on the road, away from people, lol
