How do the successful drivers keep a productive line of communication open with their route manager without becoming a pain in the neck? How do you make his/her job easier and what should they be doing in return? If it's not working out how do you go about finding a new route manager without burning any bridges? Thanks.

I check in with mine daily. Some days we hardly talk, but somedays we are constantly communicating. I talk to him with respect and he does the same with me. If I need something immediate then I let him know, if its not an immediate need he will get to it. I had one before who thought he was my daddy. Went to my terminal manager they defended him. Told them to move me off his board, they said no, I cleaned out my truck.
