Hate to be that guy. But without going and reading through all 50 pages in this thread, is there a complete compiled list of all companies verified to be using driver facing cameras in here, or maybe left behind on this thread on page XX? Thank you.

Jb hunt has outward facing cams also Decker has outward and lane departure.
My worry would be the creepy people that work at the 3rd party that watches and flags these. How much control of the cameras do they have

They watch you all the time! The driver facing camera is BS!....
They say it is only on when the light is on but I found that to be a lie!....
I got a call about 3 am one night from dispatch #####ing that I had been on my phone too long and the monitoring service had been watching and listening for 3 hours.
I had my headset on as usual but they listened to all our phone calls..

I drove for them for less than a month.....Any company with cameras can suck it!

I run under my own authority. I couldn't imagine having a camera facing me while I drive. Thats like someone watching me eat.
You guys are going to let these corps screw you until there is nothing left to screw.

    Remember this guys:
THE PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS THE SOURCE OF AUTHORITY!
That is when you stand for something. Corps need you. Not the other way around. That is an illusion if you believe you need them, which is the only reason I can see someone allowing their company to film them while driving. The camera is only worth anything, AFTER the Fact. It doesn't Prevent anything. BIG BROTHER. Peace

OPUS 7 and foggy Thank this.
  7. I drive OTR now, but when I drove 5 yrs back,a total of 15 yrs city bus in San Diego,CA,they told us drive cams would help us,keep us safe, well fist week a gal in another company got raped, robbed, same camera system, both our companies drivers: got beat up in one,bus got stolen, the mechanics broke out the popcorn to watch our video's especial the women with their adjustments(clothing) and all... all the while they kept telling us they didn't live feed, turns out they all were,24/7 live feed, the company that installed them told mechanistic this, not the drivers, but in 2008 we started with (1)one forward facing out for vehicle protection, then another (2)one became in facing drive to protect them passengers,(3)then one above driver to protect him and his space, then another (4)one for rear facing forward,(5)one for rear setting area,(6)one for exit door,(7)one for outside front door facing rear,(8)one for rear view if you back up on" passenger",all it takes is one, just saying they have 8 total. Talk about Big Brother watching ya...

    Have a nice day..

After further review, if my company decided to put driver facing cameras in their trucks, I would agree to them, under these conditions. All office and shop employees have driver facing cameras in their personal vehicles. Also, all office and shop employees would have cameras in their houses, in their bedrooms, living rooms, etc. All employees' cameras would be accessible to all truck drivers, anytime day or night. You want to watch me live my life, then I get to watch you live yours. Sounds fair right?

All camera systems record and hold footage for several hours to several days. When a critical event is triggered the 3minutes before and 2 minutes after are sent to the monitoring company. They can still go in and get more footage. There is at least one camera system out there that allows the company to monitor you anytime they want without the driver knowing it:()
