You got a lot to learn man! Isn’t that simple. ESPECIALLY in this market. You’re ahead of the game simply surviving. I’ve been out here 5.5 years and wouldn’t think doing a lease sign on right now.

Most Fleece/Purchase drivers can't afford to take any time off.

That almost sounds like what a recruiter at places like Prime, TransAm, Swift and etc claims.

Sonny B and FearTheCorn Thank this.

I actually saw a fleece purchase driver almost losing his mind when I overheard him talking to an actual owner operator tell him he was not an owner operator. The fleece guy swore up and down he owned the truck. Oh well, these guys are how the companies get away with this.

That’s why I’m looking for a Walk Away Lease. It doesn’t work out for me - I leave

I think some you can own it. But after I think 2 years or something. If you can manage that long

From what I understood when I was at Prime, there is indeed a "purchase" part of the lease purchase and you own it after 3 or 4 years.

It's a matter of doing math and I haven't done that, but I keep reading that you end up paying a lot more to own than you would if you finance a truck and lease on to whatever carrier.

Unless that O/O has the title they’re not that different.

K&B has a 60 days out/10 days home schedule and it seems like if you live in their "operating area" you’re taking the truck home. But driver reviews are just shocking. Is it that bad?
