I'm currently driving for a a company that has just announced a closure(first word just a few hours ago). Since details are still forthcoming, I don't want to say the name.

I recently pulled my reports and have ZERO points, and the last incident on my state report is from 2017 was a hit and run where fault couldn't be assigned to me or the other driver. My federal report only shows inspections with the last finding in 2023.

What companies DO NOT HIRE drivers based in California?

    Lonesome Thanks this.

Some don't hire new cdl school grads from California, but do hire experienced drivers.
What are you looking for anyway?
Moeller has lots of freight between Los Angeles and Florida. I don't know which end they hire from though. You'll have to call for the details.

Yeah, I know that, but some companies in CA don't hire new grads, but will hire you since you have experience.
I don't have names of those companies because there's literally 100's or 1000's.

You're asking for companies that "do not hire" from California? Are you not from California? I'm a little confused.

I think he's trying not to get sent to California...if they don't hire from there then less likely to be sent there?

No, I'm a California driver and have too much family there(but I'm disappointed with our politicians).... I'm looking not to waste my time applying for a position with a company that doesn't have facilities or customers to serve in California, meaning they don't need to hire California drivers and need to be able to accommodate home requests.

    Lonesome and bryan21384 Thank this.

Companies hire based on a persons zip code or city/state. They won't hire if a person lives outside the company hiring area.
Also, most companies will let you take time off anywhere within the hiring area if that's what you want. Don't have to take time off at your home, unless you want to.

    Lonesome and bryan21384 Thank this.
