I know of a few large LTL companies that do - but does anyone know of any companies in GA, SC, or NC that put their drivers up in hotels a couple times a month or more?

As a general rule, if you are driving a truck with a sleeper berth you will not be staying in motel rooms. Unless you want to pay for it.

yeah i know that's generally the case with most OTR outfits but i know of some longhaul companies that do a lot of hotels for this or that reason...apparently a lot of LTL companies use a lot hotels?

i'm trying to find others in the southeast region (no matter how big or small) that use hotels extensively

Well if you know of companies that use hotels, why don't you go with one of those? I've been driving awhile and I've never heard of any otr companies, except maybe heavy-haul outfits, that pay for hotels for drivers. That's why they pay extra to buy trucks with sleepers. If you can't or won't sleep in the truck, for whatever reason, you're better off getting a local, home daily job. Or be willing to pay for your room out of your own pocket.

for a number of projects i'm working on at my job, it would be helpful to talk be able to talk to some people at companies (outside of LTL) that use a lot of hotels to learn a little bit about the hows and whys of the process. maybe not the best to place to be asking though

I know some car hauling companies use hotels so they can run daycabs to utilize the extra space (see attachment)

Generally it takes a lot of experience to get on with the outfits that do this though.
