I should have written that alittle different. I'm looking for companies that are running 379&389 trucks. Preferably tanker yankers.

Lots of them in my line of work. Seems to be the truck of choice at a lot of companies round here and in Texas. Swaggin Wagon has some. As well as True Grit, Starr, Sandstone, and others that I can’t think of right now cuz I’ve been running all night. Lol.

Altom, Gritton, Wayne. Those 3 come to mind in my area. Lots of O/O run them

Altom Transport, Ahrens Brothers, LiMarCo Logistics. I don't know much about the operations but they always have some nice looking Petes. Altom hauls chemicals and the others do LPG.

Heres a thread where people compiled a list of companies that run "hoods."

Which companies use "hoods" such as W900 and 379

Altom phasing them out with the 579 for weight concerns I’m guessing

Those tend to be the tanker truck of choice, as they tend to be lighter than equivalent Kenworth's and any variety of the "aero" trucks out there. That, and I am a bit biased here, but they are the nicest looking trucks on the road.

You mean the 379 being the nicest? Not to hijack, but besides body style, what are a few of the major differences between the 379 and the 579?

    Zeviander Thanks this.
