    Flatbed was BRUTAL . Imagine having to secure a load and then tarp it - in the middle of summer or the middle of winter

    I can imagine.. it got a little nippy out in marshfield during the winter. Plus a lot of short runs and from what I heard almost everything got tarped.. no way I could do that.

    Exactly . I would be the only truck tarping the load , while other companies would secure the load and be on their way . Imagine tarping loads of sheetrock out of Vegas in the middle of summer and it hasn't rained for weeks

    Just did it again today.
    Did it in Aug when it was 115 going to Phoenix which was 112.
    Today was wind gusts up to 50 mph.

    I've even had other drivers stop and help me hold tarps down because it was so windy . Some days you would just have to laugh to keep yourself from crying lol

    Mast Trucking in Millersburg, OH gives 5 days on and 5 days off. BL Transport in Winesburg, OH gives 4 days on and 4 days off.
    They give a salary so you do get paid on your days off too.
