Companies who hir ppl. With misdemeanors

Each company has it own requirements. Most review what kind of misdemeanor. Some won't touch you if its drug related. Since you are able to post here you should be able to do some research. Look at transportation jobs on Atlanta Craigslist to get an idea. Unfortunately drugs and violence are the big NO NO's. Look at the job section here and see what the companies require. The only people who can you yes or no are the companies that might hire you.

 

Many of the mega carriers have 10 year limits for any level of drug charge so you will qualify with many but it must be 10 years since the sentence ended, either jail time or probation, not conviction date. They can still hold it against you and decide not to hire you but you won't be automatically disqualified.

 

10yrs old,,,do you even have to mention it? The city where the inncodent occured probably didn't even put it in the traceble file system....then again,,maybe they did.

 

Get it expunged

 

I don't see it as a deal-breaker. I'm not sure online applications are the way to get hired. Call and sell yourself.

 

Athens is a good location.

Tons of companies run thru that area.
