The company I am currently assigned me an '09 Cascadia. My biggest problem, is whoever before did what they did. The stock mounts for antenna (driver side), and the cb mount cubby are completely useless. They are torn up so bad, I can't use them. I've started thinking of a few ideas for the antenna, but what to do with the cb? If you've got sound advice, please let me know. Thanks.
Company assigned me a Frt Cascadia. Help.

I don't have time to get into details right now, but do a little search using "cascadia" and you will find a bunch of info on here.

I run a bird purch , it replaces one of the mirror bolts on the drivers door. Run cable in at door hinge nd up behind door post trim, and over to the cb.

I bought a mount from Walcott cb. My issue now is where to put the radio. The cubby that is made for it is completely torn up and useless.

Freightliner makes a plate that fastens to the dash to mount a radio on. I'd rather have one on the dash as overhead myself. If you can't mount a plate, use velcro. I've also seen guys get creative with a piece of plywood and bungie cords.

Velcro is, in my experience, more than sufficent if the surface is prepped properly (alcohol wipes on both surfaces to have velcro applied to, continue to clean until no more dirt comes off). Craft stores sell "industrial" strength velcro that is probably 1 and a half times to two times better at holding and sticking than the truck stop stuff from.my observations.

Ya. I'm thinking Velcro might be the way to go. All I gotta do now is figure out where to run the wires. Which shouldn't be too hard.
