Look , as a driver you get pay whatever your boss pays you until he decide to fired you or give you an extra penny , therefore you have no idea how your boss run his business.
As an owners operator ( real one ) in order for us to maintain our equipment in excellent condition and to take time off when we want it ( family is more important ) we must haul loads that pay more than ok money . In some cases , we may not make a lots of money , but the difference is we don’t have an a- hole telling us when , where , how to do our job . We , also decide how much money we can make in one day , in one week, in one month or in one year ....... and we don’t have to drive more , we must drive smart . Because we value our freedom . Furthest DH was 450 miles, but made 3 on the load before.
I haul alot of hazmat chemicals, cause most van guys dont have tanker nor experiance with hazardous liquidsdwells40, feldsforever and Midwest Trucker Thank this.
