Hello I’m a fairly new driver and I currently work for a smaller company hauling reefer. The company uses trans flow, and Isaac computer in their truck. When I got the load the computer and Isaac matched the load information times dates deliveries. For the last two months, I would check trans flows information for The delivery times and dates after the first initial comparison. I would get updates on as well as updates on the Isaac. I would get a notification saying load has been updated Please review on both flow and Isaac.
today I had a load for a delivery in between the hours of 12:01 AM and 11:59 PM. I was scheduled a load for 5 PM delivery 2 PM pick up. I went to bed the night before and decided to start my day at 9 AM have my load delivered by noon and then proceeded my next Delivery so I have all kinds of drive time rather than starting early and then running out of drive time early at the end of the day.
My driver manager called me who she is new to being a driver manager and asked me why I didn’t deliver the load at 5 AM and then I was late. I told her that my information says I had all day To make my delivery, I explained to her what my plan for the day for the delivery and my next load was going to be. When I got to my delivery location, there was a late fee of $1055. I told the company they give me a code to pay it after it was paid. The company told me that I have to pay that out of my next Paycheck because it was my fault supposedly.
I had taken screenshots of the last three days how Trans flow showed that my delivery time was 12:01 AM to 11:59 PM that it did not show a 5 AM delivery. My manager proceeded to tell me that she sent the update of the delivery time three days prior. When I checked my transfer flow load information it’s still said the same delivery time and Day, as when I first picked up the load, she then said that they do not update transflo Information Only the Isaac gets updated. I have screenshots on my phone that says different, but she proceeded to tell me that it was my fault, even though I showed proof that my delivery times never changed.
My question is is a company allowed to charge the truck driver a late fee for the mistake they made can a driver manager say they sent the updates but really didn’t is there any way to prove that the driver manager did not send updates I feel like she is trying to Cover her own but and pin it all on me even though I have proof that transflow does update My delivery time never changed. The owner of the company even want to talk to me that he just believed her.
I live in California, but work for a company in Wisconsin. I’m not sure if any other information is needed please let me know. Thank you.

austinmike and Bud A. Thank this.

Before anything else, the typical question needs to be answered - are you a 1099 driver?

Your state wage and hour division can fix this.
Might be time to start looking for a new employer.

She failed to update both systems, and now she's trying to charge you to cover for her mistake.
