Lol. I'm not too sure what you're trying to convey. Reading his post, it appears the DM screwed up. Regardless of the paperwork you're talking about, the DM didn't communicate effectively. He's got the proof so they need to eat that fine.

The company almost certainly had driver sign an agreement to pay company fines. Companies usually have more experience hiring & firing newbies than newbies have selecting trucking companies. If company did not get driver's signature on fine agreement than company has a lot less support for the fine. My opinion is mostly based on new posters saying "I was never told about X" in post number one and then later in thread admitting they were warned about X and other drivers were also penalized before they stop posting.

If they're with-holding and paying state tax direct to CA then they have created a nexus in CA. Put it to the CA labor board.

Where is the fine coming from?

    The receiver?

    was the load rejected?

was this a just in time shipment?

    was this a brokered load?

Setting aside the issue of Transflo not updating, is there a record anywhere that she told you the updated delivery time? Anything at all, even if it was just a freeform message?

    77fib77 and tscottme Thank this.

Even if it was your fault it is not your responsibility to pay any of this kind of stuff. You said your a driver out of CA, I would turn in the truck and run from these people, hire an attorney if they even try to get funny with your money, if you need a good i have one here in Van Nuys, that has got me several settlement from companies that have tried this stuff.

You can call your labor department. Document things. Then you can file for unemployment due to not being paid or whatever it falls into it.

Going over dispatches head about the fine is an absolute. 1055 is a bit of money. Are you sure the fine was a 1055 for being late?

    And be quick about it.

They paid through EFS or comdata…etc? This will probably be deducted from your next check. If you didn’t get someone in management on the phone today, it’s probably too late to save next week’s check. I would be supremely pissed.

Even if they make it right later, I would still want a new dispatcher. That’s bad business.
