Just realized I posted a mistake. When I started we were paid .34 empty, .415 loaded. We just got a raise in September to .35 empty .43 loaded. The deal with Superior is everyone makes the same pay no matter how long you have been with the company. That eliminates the company's incentive to dispatch lower paid drivers more miles.

Drive for UP State. Not the best pay, but lots of miles, Home on weekends, no west coast nor NY City or any of the East coast on up North of NY City. Not much for short hauls, Only 11 trucks, My Truck has a number, but I have a Name.... LOL Get to drive a nice Pete!

Pritchett Trucking out of Lake Butler, Florida. I've been here going on 3 years at the end of January. Positives of the company are that it's mostly local, we do have road trucks and I like being able to switch over to a road truck if the feeling strikes me. The money in my opinion is good, I'll gross $44,000 for my local position, we work our arses off though. I put right at 107,000 miles on my truck this year, I know that's not a whole lot but this is a local truck, we have guys that have done over 130,000 here in Tallahassee. The only negative I can think of is the fact that we work on a lot of contracts, for instance most of my work here in Tallahassee is on 1 to 5 year contracts, granted our rates allow us the opportunity to be competitive but you never know. BTW, Oldnewbie I saw that you were going to be headed to Tampa at some point in the near future, when are you anticipating getting across I-10?

Won't have a real good idea until I leave Batesville MS sometime today. Best guess, though, puts me in Lake City 'round 'bout early afternoon tomorrow. Delivery window in Tampa closes at 1300 Tuesday so I've got a little flex time.

Don't know if I'm headed to Valdosta or Dothan tomorrow, either way there might be a good chance that we'd cross paths. If you think you might know later what time you'll be scootin' through let me know. I'll know this afternoon which direction I'm headed and I'll let you know.
