Ok, So I know I will probaly start a all out war here, but I have a serious question and want some others input on it. So everyone think about this and dont get your blood pressure up. I am looking at leasing a truck thru a company, and also looking at purchasing or leasing a truck on my own and then leasing onto a company. I have run a few numbers and I come to the conclusion that it all seems to equal out in the end give or take a little. The only real downfall I see is while you lease the truck from that company is you are tied to them till the end. So anyone that wants to give some input on this issue please do so and I welcome it. We can talk companies and revenue if your interested. I will be here most of the night.

my credits shot. I can't buy a truck. I've looked at allot of the lease purchase and have yet to find one i'd do. A few were close but after talking with people it just mysterously seems to never work out in the end. the compleation rates on them is terribly low and that's where you need to look.
Arnold used to have a great lease. included FREE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS. can't beat that. Once us express bought them out it went to the same crappy plan that us uses. it's one of the worse, up there with CR england even. it's just not a good idea to tie your truck into the same place you get your loads.firecaptain1204 and panhandlepat Thank this. -
firecaptain1204 Thanks this.

I would not do a lease purchase again. I got suckered into one of these deals back when i was new to the industry. They preach about freedom and such. But then tell you can only run 65 mph, tell you were to fuel, were to get your oil changed and the list goes on. Most have forced dispatch. Essentially i felt like i was treated like a company, except i was the one making the payment.

many of them won't let you do your own maintenance. That's the best way to lower operting costs in this biz.. -

I get fairly good miles I suppose.
I train for CRE
4000 + per week.
That said I have only averaged around 750 per week and you have to take the taxes out of that.
I have not been home in 4 months.
This is about the most ****** up industry I have every worked in.
Yes I lease though I swore I would not.
The reality of it is they have miles and people really do make money.
But
You can never go home
and
You better hope your truck doesn't break down. -
I can say this JCT is NOOOOOOOO CRE....
