New to the trucking industry. Does anyone know the pros and cons of Prime and Knight transportation. Not trying to stir up drama just trying to decide between the two in the couple days. If anyone has a better company feel free to tell me, and why it's. better company. Thanks

Pros: None
Cons: Too many to list.Puppage and scottlav46 Thank this. -
No I'm not going to attend a CDL program. I am going to take the test on my own. If prime is anything like swift sounds like I want to streer a different direction. Maverick was another company I've looked into

I drove for Knight from 8/2012 to 5/2013.
Gulfport, MS terminal
I advise you to not go to Knight, my friend .
• rude, despicable "driver managers"
• lazy, unmotivated shop employees
who couldn't give a crap less.
• terminal manager Wayne has never driven a truck in his whole life. His previous job was being the equipment manager (errand boy)
For the minor league hockey team in Biloxi.
• passive aggressive safety Dept. People who print out pictures of damaged trucks and write what it costs on the paper , and tape it to thr walls of the bathroom stalls to try to force you to look at while you are trying to take a sh1t.
• they still had the old etch-a-sketch big Qualcomm units in the trucks, I don't know if they ever upgraded.
• They don't answer freeform messages hardly ever.
• if you go into Oregon, you better call them first , because they are so cheap they don't pay the 'oregon weight receipt' which is required to have to enter the state .
A weigh station cop did a inspection on me and wrote me a $435 ticket because of Knight's retardedness.
• I was kind of not real surprised when I heard about the manager getting shot at Katy TX terminal.
I understood how he felt.
I ain't a killer but don't push me....Highway_Executive Thanks this. -
Look up West Side Transport in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. You can start under their pay guarantee, which is $1000 per week for a new driver. I don't think you can find a carrier who can beat that! Message me if you have any questions. Why are you limiting yourself to these 2 carriers??
Marcus_from_Lafayette Thanks this.
