Company owned trucking school in New York

I am actively looking into getting my CDL via a company owned truck driving school. However, when I contacted Swift to train at one of their schools to work from NY, I was told they aren't hiring NY drivers because NY won't honor the TN CDL and will make me go through the whole thing again here.

So I am forced to either pay my way or find a NY based trucking company that offers paid schooling. Anybody know of any? Or maybe a company that trains NY drivers out of state that NY allows?

Thank you, I will. My life plan has me going to school in the fall of 2014. That is when my house and both vehicles will be paid for and I will have $10k +/- that will get me through no/low income for a period of time. There is an accredited NTTS school here but a regular school closer for a lot less money. I know these places are both overpriced but I am not opposed to investing in myself and likley my last career change. I'll probably do a loan either way just so I keep my cushion nice and cushy. A cheap credit union loan at the cheaper closer school sounds right to me.
