You can eliminate that almost every time though, with a good attitude and treating the officer with respect.

If they want to find something wrong, they will. I agree that it is about the money. You can see it when they set up surprise inspections in certain states. You can usually tell when they are in their fundraising mode.

 

Not with NY DOT, I have had no problems with NY DOT in the past 5 years

Sad but true...And all the ### KISSING and getting on our knees will not change nothing...I have tried every way possible short of getting on my knees and still got some crazy stupid assinine ticket...

Last week i got the famous ''reflective tape'' ticket and 3 points..He said my tape was 10 inches.It sould be 12 inches..Every single peice of tape was 12 inches but one.It was ripped on the top of the trailer by 2 inches..This guy measured every peice of tape...ROLMFAO...To funny....

 

You are a lucky man..Last week they were out in the 1000's...Locals,State and even the State Machanics were out...
