    I agree, but it sounds like you can't get in trouble for having both.

    I would think that since the regs require the motor carrier to require the driver to either do a paper record or to use an EOBR and one or the other is required by a M/C of its drivers, anything the M/C requires of the driver that is not specifically prohibited would not be an enforcement concern. If a M/C wants you to keep a paper log along with the EOBR or wear two seat belts or installs two speedometers in their truck (Although kind of stupid) who cares, it's their business. Again though if a M/C requires their drivers to use an EOBR and a paper log, the EORB rules.
