Sorry but if i had to depend on a dispatcher to tell me how to get from a to b i would find i new career. your atlas if its the truck version does have some mistakes but i have never seen 2 errors that could possibley get me a fine or killed...

yes and no. my gps kept itching fits with this route, that should have been a clue something was wrong. but then again it has tried to route me through neighborhoods and it will route you 5 miles out of the way just to put the destination on the right side of the road.

I've run that in a truck, at night, in a snow storm...
That is one twisted, tight road, it was a real treat to have another
truck coming the opposite direction !!

I saved that road on my GPS, I would like to go there with a car or bike in the Summer, I bet it's beautiful

Then there is my generation who grew up 1/2 of there driving using maps
and the other 1/2 using GPS.

I use both.... Always check a GPS with an Atlas !!!!!!

company tried to route me from winchester, va thru to I-79 in WV using US 50......my advice lol don't do it......should have known when the gps said don't go there but did what i always do and checked the map against the route "suggestion" and the atlas showed it to be a truck route and approved for STAA dimensions so never having been on that road before away I go......tail of the dragon just in another state lol 9% up, 9% down, 9% round and round and round....bridge restrictions but thankfully really short bridges....180 degree switchbacks over and over and over that you had to take the whole opposite lane coming around just to not drop the trailer off the shoulder on my side and no way to see what's coming around the bend......145 miles of sheer hell and nowhere to get off of it and get back to a better road once you're comitted.....no matter what the map says or what the company route "suggestion" is....if it looks like a coiled up snake on the map, i find another way......good thing they give us a little latitude in chosing our route as long as we make our fuel stops where we're supposed to.....weeks later i got routed back up 50 from the west but it looked better on the map and was.....from 79 to the west it's great but from 79 east it's a whole other world lol.....no wonder i got all the strange looks from people as i went up that thing.....whoever approved that as a truck route was smoking crack

And I'll continue to speak. Transportation is becoming big business, other things need to be taken into account other than running it the way you always have. Look for that competitive advantage where you can. If you want to run business as usual that's your prerogative.
