Right there is your problem. YOU guys are to lazy to do YOUR job, of hireing GOOD/ Quality drivers, because its just easyer to higher joe blow for pennys and tell him how to do his job.

All these big companies exsist because back in the day REAL drivers would come off the road and move into the office and run that side of the company......when that stopped happening thats when you people came in like BW9 said and take the easy way out of just screwing the drivers out of the money rather then earn it from your customers.

Training wise we do what we can, 2 day orientation doesn't leave a lot of room. But I totally agree with you, we bring in guys before we get their background checks. So is their room for improvement where I'm at. Sure, you bet there is. Am I trying to make a change, yes I am. Do I expect anyone on here to believe me (or that I'm capable), sure someone will probably believe me......probably.

You can only squeeze a turnip so much before it turns to mush! All this cost cutting, rate cutting, increased regulations, increased traffic is taking a toll on the industry.

Not just money, they are slowly taking the fun out of trucking.

    Business perspective, good
    Driver's perspective, Bad

    Fire em all, lol. :)

I do see a BMW, a Denali, a $40K PU.... I turn around and look at the drivers lot, I see a rusted out '90 Cutlass, there's one with a flat because he ain't been home in awhile. There's a 85 Winnebago one lives in.... :biggrin_25522:

I have the Honda and I 'm thinking about selling it for a Prius so I can afford the commute. But sometimes I park by the Denali.
