Hazwoper and training for hazmat hauling are two different classes. I have to take both. Hazwoper is recognizing hazardous materials and waste in the workplace and how to handle and clean up. Transporting hazmat teaches you how to transport hazardous materials safely and be compliant with dot regs. Placarding and such. I yank tanks and haul mainly flammable liquids or corrosives. Knowing how to load and mix most hazardous materials is irrelevant with what I do but I still have to learn that. Sad thing is alot of the small companies dont know this and only give you the hazwoper course. Oh well till someone gets hurt and company gets audited. I myself walked out of a company for not giving the proper training.

Not only the fuel hauling companies give you specialized training but be prepared to get some training at each rack you go into. It's their way of knowing that you know what you are doing!!
