*update*decided to go to roehl talked to the recruiter today only thing holding me back is the 2800 tuition it cant be financed credit score is just around 450 and they require 500. So i have to try to come up with 2800 dollars before my savings im paying bills on runs out the end of march.* GOING TO TAKE A MIRACLE.
I was orginally going to do self study for my CDL. But going through a school seems to make it easier to get your foot in the door. Will be going through roadmaster. 21 years old clean driving and criminal record located in central FL.
Been researching like crazy for companies all have there pros and cons. Looked at KLLM and a few others sites looked good but had complaints about miles downtime etc etc.
Maybe im being to picky but consistent loads coast to coast or long haul loads would be great something where i can rake in the miles. Most companies seem to be around the .30-.32 cent mark so as long as i can get right there close im happy.
Looking for the smaller companies where your actually treated like a driver not a steering wheel holder. Ive been treated like that driving straight trucks for years.
Company where i can get miles.

Driver I have been driving for 25 years. Some advise Take the KLLM JOB but plan on staying for 2 years. The rule I go by is checking the company's rating on the FMSCA web site. Ask about heath insurance. And try in the future not to work for a company that trains its own drivers.

Well Infalliable, the good news is you are not alone. Every single driver out there wants good miles and runs that go coast to coast. The truth is you will get some good runs and you will also get some bad ones. The trick is not to bit## about it! That will definitely increase the bad ones! Take every single bad load you can get smile and say thank you and you will find yourself quickly at the top of the "good run" list. Just make sure you are never late. Home time is a big factor too. Dispatchers will give the good miles and good runs to the drivers that stay out there and want to run hard. The guys that just piddle and mope around until they get to go home get the crappy runs. Have you looked into Windy Hill or Armellini? Armellini is team only but you can make a killing! Windy Hill is also a really good company. Both out of Central Fl.

Armellini currently requires 6 months experience.
You may want to reconsider, Roehl is NOT known for high miles.
What is wrong with Swift.............????
