First, welcome to TTR.
How much experience do you have, enough to find a better job?
IMO you’ve done your part and they just don’t give a crap about you. Not like MO is a hard area to get inbound freight.
Two months on the road is more than enough especially this time of year.
Good luck, I’d just tell them to fluf-off and die![]()
Company won't let me go home for off time.

Better to find that better job before you tell them to fluff off.

They will treat you however you allow them to treat you. At some point you’ll have to get a backbone and tell them no when they try to keep dispatching you when you’re supposed to be headed home.

Do your year, find another company to drive for, then, be done with these guys.

So I take a load of rum from Canada to Little Rock on Thursday. Then they planned to load me out for Va Beach. No, I says, I need to be home for an 8am dentist appointment. So they bounce me up to Quincy, and then to Cedar Rapids (Quaker Oats). I get in to CR early afternoon Sunday and check in with the JB office there. You pick up your load at 12. Ok, so I head to bed. Get up around 11, wander around some, go to the JB office - its closed. Wander a little more, find someone that knows something...
"Yeah, that load will be ready around noon".
I drove home right then. 23 days I worked at JB, gave them my notice on the Qualcomm on my way home. Told them the keys would be in the ashtray at their drop yard.Last edited: Aug 8, 2024

Don't accept another load that isn't heading in the direction of your home city. Once you finally make it there, take double the amount of time off you were originally planning. They owe you that in interest. When you do go back to work, immediately put your next hometime into the system for the earliest date allowable. If they play this game with you again, repeat the same steps or consider looking for another company.

Is this western express? I see folks driving for western are missing court cases and everything else, their dispatchers are playing with them while they’re making $400 a week living in the truck months and months at a time.

OP said it was PAM Transport
austinmike and OlegMel Thank this.
