Compare Vocom I with Nexiq 2 usb.

    Hi
    Did any one tried using nexiq 2 with PTT software, is there any difference between this and Vocom I?
    Nexiq distributor said that it is the same. It is just an interface and do whatever the software do.
    Someone told me that vocom is better in advanced functions like programming and calibration..
    What is your openion?

    Vocom will be faster with PTT. Not faster enough to justify. Nexiq 2 works with all software. Vocom does not. I have all of the interfaces including these 2. I can't remember the last time that I used any of the others. Nexiq 2 hands down. Must be a genuine, not chinese clone.

    Nexiq is slower with PTT, but it's cheaper, cables are cheaper, and it's universal, which means you can use it with any truck brand or trailer if you have cables for trailers, to diagnose things like ABS on trailers.
    I personally have a genuine Vocom II bought directly from Volvo, and it's still considerably slow on PTT so I can't even imagine how slow Nexis would be.

    I would take VocomII genuine from volvo, if you working strictly mack or volvo for me its a must, all other general work nexiq2 is perfect.

    The problem is that I live in Israe, the distributor here don't allow to purchase the original Vocom

    than nexiq 2 would be best bet you can order from premiumtechtool.com under hardware i dont know how the shipping will be, but thats where i got mine from
