Haha I am always entertained reading some of the post on this board.
I would sue Maverick and whoever put the sign there for emotional distress.

This will be my last post on this subject. Here is the thing that gets me. You say this and that about Maverick now that you were sent home, but just a couple of days before this you were on another Maverick Thread saying you were eating at Golden Coral with a bunch of your classmates and everything seems fine so far. It really didn't sound like you were thinking about all this craziness that you are talking about. I would give you my email and phone number, but believe me I would say somethings to you there that I can not say here. So we will leave it at that. Good Luck too.
HoosierHunter Thanks this. -
I will say this about them. I know people who screwed up pretty bad and kept a job with them. Some not as drivers, but they had a job. I know of one driver that was involved in a fatality accident and maverick stood behind him. He was still driving for them last I knew. I know a driver that was flat bedding for over 40 years and got to where he was costing them too much money getting physicals every 3 months due to age and health issues and they brought him out of a truck and created a job for him. Made him a driver relations person or something like that. They never had one before.
They did thin the herd when freight got real bad, but it was drivers that was costing them money due to excessive accidents, poor fuel mileage etc. I have never known them to get rid of someone just because they had nothing better to do.HoosierHunter and Ops85 Thank this. -

Lets be real about this road test. It is mostly on a back road. You have to make a couple of challenging turns...go up and turn around in a parking lot and then change drivers. The turn into the compound has plenty of room and there is no reason to hit the curb, sign or anything else unless you are not paying attention to the rear of the trailer.
And remember, it is an automatic, you do not even have to think about shifting. And there is no alley docking...I did not have to park at all.
In my opinion, it has to be the easiest road test of any company out there.
I am sure they feel that way as well. If you do not pass this test, then you should not get a second chance...in my humble opinion.
This was so much easier than getting my cdl, that I could not believe it!Ops85 Thanks this. -
I face that situation every day...only at busy intersections in the city. -

It seems to me that you want to blame everything but yourself. If you were so traumatized by the guy texting and could not sleep...You are best to stay out of trucking, because I can guarantee that you will never get any sleep because of the things that you will see on the road, at shippers ect.
Lets face it...You screwed up! Man up about it and quit pointing at everything else...go look in the Mirror!
Good luck in the future!Ops85 and HoosierHunter Thank this. -
Ok every one who wants to know, I have nothing to gain, i wish to gain nothing, I told the truth,I gave information in the same way I though others did when someone asked questions.
Never said I deserved to pass or anything, To any one out there looking for a job, dont believe all the crap that many companys say, dont believe all the crap that many of theses drivers say, there are jobs out their, local, and over the road that are not controlled by a few. For new cdl grads.
I am sleeping fine and have a job, and to my surprise and delight it is local and well paying. For all that is said and guessed about on here, not one of you sent a private message asking for names or more details, I was hoping one of you current drivers would have asked for my phone number or something to get the whole story, so you could have at least made sure Chris new. Or better yet ask the trainer involved, so you could ask him, I sent Chris an email but he never responded, probably is not allowed to. Or not acknowlege the reply anyway. I do not care what maverick or any of you think of me, I hope someone reading this gets the message to not text while drive at least. I have just finished my training and will be on my own routes starting 1 am tomorrow morning, Like sooner I hope this is my last post . I wish you all well and if this information is making you mad, well then perhaps your bubble needs to be burst just a little.
For someone whjo signs his message seals for CHrist , you would think you would have understand my messages that say about being relieved or glad because there was something more suited out there for me. Failing a road test, at Maverick , well I really thought I would have failed the CDL A Test too but I did not. Like I have always said about this, things are now what they ought to be.
If anyone wants to know more, message me and state what you want to know, I may give you my email or phone for the whole story, but please if you are just going to try to prove that this did not happen, dont waste your time or anyone elses. Everything happens for a reason and can be used for good in the long run.
I really hope and pray that trainer who was texting will consider changing his habits, Mavericks training has changed some of my habits for the better, I would have liked to stay longer to learn more, like someone said try not to think the whole company is like a series of events, or 1 person, I agree, I was trying to do that, but in the end I may not have accepted the final offer. Hope you all do well.
