While I don't agree with you, I think honesty is always the best policy, I did get a kick out of your Seinfeld reference. I can still picture George running out of the bathroom with his pants down yelling "Vandalay Industries, Vandalay Industries". Heh, heh.

 

It seems gaps in employement are a problem with a lot of people these days. I would think the starter companies would look the other way towards gaps in employement otherwise it be tough to fill seats. It amazes me that the government crashes the economy then make it hard for people to re enter the work force with these government agencies like the dot making it tough.

 

Nah, with most, as long as youre in the ballpark its ok, just explain any gaps.

Especially with all the immigrants that can barely speak English driving trucks. Do they verify their last 10 years of employment in Russia? What a joke! Do they verify the last 10 years employment in Jamica for all the Jamican immigrants driving trucks? It's crazy.

 

I'm not a tax expert but basically a 1099 is what Owner Operators get that shows how much money they got paid. It's kind of like a W-2 form and is what you use to do your taxes with to prove your income. So when someone says they get paid on a 1099 it just means that they are working on a contractual basis and would likely be an owner operator or lease operator as opposed to a Company Driver.
