i have recently called a ins. agent to get prices for INS. 2001 model year, and i have been quoted 12k for full coverage that is w/ my own auth. w/o was even more expensive.

we have a fellow member that started out in early 08 w/ his own auth. and tried to hire or did? his brother.. said he had no exp. not even school he was going to train him, i recall he eventually found someone to insure his brother as a co driver for 18k a year

Call Progressive for your tractor and trailer, then call around for cargo and liability. That quote is rather high, $4000 higher than what I was paying through Great West on a 2007 Volvo 780 and a 2006 Great Dane flat with a $15,000 conestoga kit and $1,000,000 in liability.

Even with your little time as a driver, that is quite high. But definitely call Progressive. I went with them and they got me down to $1600 a year on my tractor and trailer with a $500 deductible. My bob tail is through Schneider, due to their requirements. That is quite a bit of coin back into my pocket.
