I see thenm sometimes too but guessing it wouldn’t make it onto the rate contract? If it did then so be it. I’ll haul it for that.

    Black list away!!!!

I’ve hauled a few legal flatbed loads for over $10k. Best one was $14,500.00. So $19k is not totally unbelievable?

Honestly, I think brokers are making a killing right now. Will probably take all of 30 loads profits to recoup this load.

The brokers in the northeast are making the most I'm sure. I've never seen so many $1 per mile loads just for people to get out of that region. The broker says the shipper doesn't want to pay that much, but since I know most brokerages keep 20-40% of the load, especially off the back haulers, it's definitely the brokers sucking the rates dry.

Brokers like CH Robinson and TQL are killing it right now, sure to be a record breaking year for sure.

If you look hard enough and dig deep enough, you could have a lot of good luck.

For example, today a company gave me a scrap machine worth about $5,400 in metal. This is definitely great good luck but is that stealing? No. I have a good relationship with them and they value my promptness and efficient removal. It is just business.

A while ago I bought an item on ebay for $45 and resold it two weeks later for $1,500. (a giant impact wrench). Was that stealing? Of course no.

Same here. There is a good Uber trucker, he spotted a good rate, pounced on it, did his very best job driving this load, I am sure, and he got paid. How is there even a whiff of dishonesty?

I've gotten more than a few that were $6 to $9 mile, and it's spelled out that way, and equates to the total freight bill. And I've heard of monster loads that were something specialized.

A load of soda is not that.
