COMPLIANCE REVIEW NOT NEW ENTRANT

Im sorry if it has already been discussed but could not find what i was looking for.

I am a new employee at a trucking company and inherited a bunch of crap...( my fault for saying yes) so i come in and have all the employees do dot compliant apps, gathered their drug tests and made sure that everything is legal. I started them on an actual maintenance report and gathered all their annuals. Problem lies in the log books that were mixed and stacked every where ........ i dont think its humanly possible to go through the mess that the company made with 15 drivers worth of books. The best part is i check the email the second week after i started and get an email from the Michigan state police telling us that they are coming. I am so lost in what to expect and how bad this is gonna be. If any one has any idea on how it works and how the fine schedule is it would be a great help. also would I be held responsible for what I started with.

I used to just do truck inspections and brakes at a shop before a customer offered me this sweet deal that was to good to be true. Any pointers or advice please. The MSP is coming on tuesday the 14th ...?

some people should have not gone it to this business. I took the job because the beyond awesome benefits because the old job sucked so I have a newborn and took advantage of the pay. With that said these guys are idiots said they had a review b4 and were fine and didn't expect any surprises. Well surprise, i was under the assumption i had time at least a month or two before anything like this happened. The drug testing is finally all in order, and the annuals and truck maintenance. Logs and fuel are horrible with the exception of 3 drivers. I looked over the violations and some should hav been let go a long time ago. safety score 95% maintenance and 83 logbook.

 

I dont think ill be that fortunate
