My audit was verry good. The inspector came to my home, had everything laid out if they aske for anything I could hand it to them. I have always been a stickler for paperwork and organized files. I have sloppy hand writing so I do my logs on computer, they liked the neatness. Just make sure you have your drivers files complete and drug testing info. They gave me helpful tips I had not thought about. They made me feel like they wanted me to succeed. Just remember this is business and nothing more. I also bought a book on line to make sure I had all they wanted.

You can pm me if you have questions

Clean log books
Maintenance logs
Drug program paperwork
Any driver folders (copy of lic., medical card, DMV printout.)
Cab cards. Reg, insurance, ifta
If asked. Keep in separate folder.
Don't talk unless asked a question, don't volunteer information.
Neatness and organization is what they like.ramblingman and EZ4U2SAY Thank this. -
Did they go over all your paper work? As far a fuel and time stamped BOLS did they match that to your logs by looking or did they dig deeper? And it's just me so my driver files are good, I'm assuming.... Your maintenence reports were they glanced at or looked at real close.. I'm sure I've got what I need just want to make it a good audit and not look like an idiot.

First time is cursory look over. The basics I listed. If and when they do another audit. It will involve fuel, ifta, logbooks. More detail inspection.
Just first time, make the list accurate and clean.EZ4U2SAY Thanks this. -
I've keep the fuel receipts with the corresponding log. Do you think that will work or do they just need to be in a folder of there own for the month?
-
Keep fuel separate from logs. Only pull out fuel paperwork when asked.

In my state they now do it online, you must scan and upload the documents to their website and then the inspector calls you to verify and ask some questions
