I have a cm870 cummins isx. Jake's don't work. I have verified the dash switches are working using insite. Wiring to solenoids is working.
When the truck increases in rpm, it sounds like I have a miss or possibly one stage of the jake is coming in slowly. At idle there is no miss...
My question is this... If the jake solenoid is leaking oil past the seal inside, at idle there is 18psi oil pressure. However the oil leaking past would increase in pressure with rpm, slowly / partially activating the jake correct?
I bought two solenoids and plan to change them out. Just wondering if my theory is correct?

This noise / miss is happening all the time, with jake switch off.

They make a tune-up kit for the ISX interbrake, but I usually find the detent plungers and detent holes in rocker shaft oblong and snap ring retainer grooves wore out in rocker. Makes for a noisy/ tick topend.
