The compressor on my 1994 11.1L recently died and I am researching a replacement. I have read where some are replacing the factory pump with one from a 12.7L that has a higher compacity for a faster charge. I found a higher capacity but noticed it mentioned a clockwise vs. counterclockwise head rotation and I am not sure what that means. While I was thinking this meant something to do with the physical rotation of the pump, AI references the position of the head. I don't always trust what AI says, but I am hoping someone here can shed a little light on this subject for me. Thanks in advance for any help!

I'm pretty sure the 11.1 and 12.7 compressors are the same. What is the reason you need more CFM?

Yeah, I don't think there are a lot of good options out there. Keeping your dryer filter replaced will help, but I think that's about it.Overhaulin Thanks this.
