Alright, my truck is a international 9400i with a Cat C13 acert . I just replaced the compressor unloader (which was sticking) with the replacement kit from Cat. It was easy to do 2 screws and a plate on top of the compressor head. The new one looked just like the old one.
Now the compressor is taking a long time to build up pressure and it hardly builds any pressure when idling. Any ideas?
Compressor unloader frustration...

Massive leak. Make sure you didn't miss an oring, or one slipped out of a groove.

you only got 30% of the job done.drain all coolant from system.remove head of compressor (4 bolts).the head assembly comes apart like a sandwich of 4 layers if i recall.all parts must be seperated and cleaned.will be full of much sticky carbon build up.make sure you purchase gasket kit first!i usually get bendix kit from detroit diesel.not hard to do.just takes time to clean.good luck.

In addition to above suggestion, check for failed air governor or air dryer.
