You can bleed your undies white and blue until the end, but for me I have a different opinion... I worked for both truckload and freight... I wouldn't apply my services again to neither... If I had to choose one before the other it would be truckload but ask any ( if any left ) of the truckload guys and they will tell you PRE Conway when CFI owned them it was the best company you could work for... As soon as Conway bought them out it was a complete sell out to the drivers... CF in the LTL business was downed by Freight and now look same thing... So many freight drivers are not happy its unreal...
If I remember you posting the earnings you made from around 300 or so working days for truckload was 50k take, how is that good?TruckDuo Thanks this. -

I never said that Truckload pays union wages, it's FREIGHT that claims to pay union wages and it's FREIGHT that the teamsters are trying to unionize, NOT TRUCKLOAD.
You're conflating two different threads! THIS one is about FREIGHT!Lonesome Thanks this. -
BTW, this is not the 1920s!
Companies are not abusing employees like they were when the unions were born and useful.
Today, if you don't like the pay and benefits at one company, then find one better and go to work for them; that is unless it's a union shop, then you can't go there until you join their uníon and pay the union bosses their dues.
If you're so weak that you can't stand up for yourself or not good enough to get a better job somewhere else on your own merits, then I guess you need that union "protection", so sign up and pay those dues.Lonesome, 77smartin and Gearjammin' Penguin Thank this. -

Not that I am a big union guy but the industry does need change and not the usual company verbal masturbation that is getting good drivers no where.
Ask yourself "Where would America be without truckers?"
We should get the wages and respect we are due....those who deserve it that is. -
I thought that was obvious!
There I go assuming that I'm involved in a conversation with those sophisticated enough to have even a modicum of knowledge about business.
My bad! -
So, if you think you're being abused and can't do anything about it, then go join the Teamsters and get a union job! Nobody's stopping you.
Oh wait! There maybe someone stopping you, the union itself!
