Are you guys saying CWF pays $21.30 per hour the first 8 hours of the day then time and a half overtime after that? And you get more than 50 hours weekly? What benifits do you start out with and how much does it cost?
Con-Way freight or Fed Ex...TEXAS. 1yr experience. Have you worked either? advice.

They definitely make good money, but I've heard horror stories from both fedex and Conway about the micromanaging of their drivers. I think it may even be too gruesome to post on this family website.

Yes that is correct. You get $21.30 per hour and time and a half after eight for any hours worked for city P&D or dock work. Not everyone gets 50 hours a week. It will depend on how busy that terminal is and how well they are staffed. Some weeks could be 40 hours or less. No benefits until after 90 days. Not sure how much they cost because I don't get them(insured through my wife).

Worked for FedEx, cant speak for CWF. Every terminal starts at different pay. $22.08 is the most common, and you top out at 25.08 in your third anniversary. There is a cost of living raise every year too, three years ago they topped out at 23ish now is 25ish. You will have to work the dock since seniority plays a good role in routes and dispatch, but you get driver pay. Overtime after the 8th hour and 40th as well. Great insurance and pension plan.

I'm a l/h driver, start out pay is 21.30 & .44 cpm. Money is FAT here at freight!! The standing comment is that we have "8 pockets on our uniforms, so they can stuff money in ALL of them"! YTD I'm at 46k & still 14 months from top rate. OT after 8 hours is true. The work load depends on the barn and the local economy. Our barn has 29 drivers, I'm 11 from the bottom, and our freight is good!
Is it a perfect place to work and I have no complaints? NO! But what place is? I'll say this, you get what you give here. I suspect it's like that at most places.Starboyjim Thanks this.
