What do you OTR drivers think of pulling the LTL company loads from terminal to terminal? As an LTL line-haul driver I hate seeing it but I was wondering what you guys thought.. Do you like running them?

I did it few years ago. I loved it! I would do them back to back to back all the time for conway. After a while thou i got ask for a regular load so i can have some spare time to swing by a store and stock up on groceries and such lol.
Never had to scale either always nice medium weight loads. Most of the time they had my load ready on time.

I heard since the merge, they give more time on loads! In my opinion that's lame i like to run hard thou!

No wonder I'm always pulling 40K. What is on time - just curious, what time are they supposed to be ready? We have never "merged", not sure what you're talking about..

I personally hated and enjoyed them....

I hated Conway policy/rules. But I enjoyed the loads.

Yea well its hard to make if from Dallas tx to Seattle Wa at any decent rate using lime green sterlings switching the load out ever 250 300 miles and heading home with another one.

We had appointment times just like any other p/u! They give us a time they think the load will be ready!

I guess they didnt have much for rules when i ran them!

Like i said i did it before cfi and conway merged. So conway had very little sleepers and even the drivers that did take them never really went that far.

Yeah, that would be great wouldn't it.. I would love to trade my time at the blue and white for some brown but both are in pretty good positions given the overall situation. I see UPSF now has a new zone up the road from us. They used to come from Harrisburg but now use a parcel terminal for a drop yard. My guess is they will eventually have a terminal in the area.

I think you did. It was dumb luck that I got the job at Con-way but I'm fortunate I found this place. Also glad I found it at 22 years old.

It was dumb luck for me also,...........I was looking for anything to pay the bills,......If Micky D's had been accepting applications I would be asking folks if they wanted fries with that,.....But I'll take dumb luck any day,...Especially when in puts a job like this in my lap,...........
