Starting Trans-Tech(Charlotte) on the 28th should be out in a month. I got a pre-hire letter from con-way as well as Schneider's tanker division looking for info on both.
    Thanks.

Tank side for Schneider, oilfield or what? There are posts here regarding Schneider's oil field forays, flops and so on. Con -Way TruckLoad? I like it, may not pay as well as others, but so many positives, hard to beat. You'll have the ability to move on into LTL if so choosing.

No question, go tanker. That's where the money is. Miller Transporters has facility in Greensboro.

What product would you be hauling via tanker?

I have a similar type of decision to possibly make, although mine is ABF vs a local gas hauling job. Good luck in your decision, I know how it goes!

ABF is in a financial quandary right now, check em out before committing. The fuel transport will take you far up the ladder quick, chemicals, petroleum will all open up.

I am doing my research on ABF, and their financial and union issues currently. I would prefer to haul fuel actually, but they don't offer OT... Hard to beat the benefits at ABF, but that does me no good if they go under...

ABF ended up with Carolina back in the day, now look who's on the ropes. Actually don't expect them to go easily, this is one smart operation. Heck, if thats where you want to go, just do it, but the budget ax is coming somehow
