Does con-way only train veterans? I was looking on their site and it looks like its only veterans that they actually train.
Maybe i am wrong.

I went to Crowder College and after truck driver training went to Con-way and went out with a trainer. So unless they have changed things, which I don't think they have, they train newbies.

I gotta call BS on this one. Every time I ever had to go in the shop, everything I requested was looked at/fixed, plus, they always checked all the fluids, greased the fifth wheel, and made sure I was happy with what they did. Any road service has been as prompt as could be and bad tires replaced without question. Dispatch is 47mph unless it's a "hot" load, or already late for some other reason. You have to consider the source when hearing bad comments about Conway...there's always to sides to the story. Do your job here and you'll be fine. I'll also echo that one of the things that drew me to Conway was the lack of negative info you hear, on the street and the web.mustang970 Thanks this. -
LOL You cats are still New . There is a lot of bad stuff about Conway TruckLoad now . There insurence sucks ### , They cant never get you home anymore when you need to be , They have tag axel trucks very dangerous in rain snow . They will fire you over any little thing any more . This Companey used to be a wonderful companey to work for but they have turned into a bunch of pricks . I would recomend doing a little more research on them before you make that hop. I wonder why there is 240 wrecks in a month with this companey.

What's your experience, in trucking (you show a ? on your info).
2 posts since June.
Why did CWTL fire you?
True, about the tag axles, but only dangerous if you put yourself in conditions that are dangerous to begin with.
Insurance is.on par with most large outfits. Don't worry, Obama care will take care of us all.
Who are the pricks you speak of?
Oh, I'm not that new by the way. Been around a day it two. -
Twizzler, this is your post about CWTL in June.
Seems you were ok with things then
Now, me thinks you are sour grapes, what did you do wrong?
Typically unless you rearended somebody, or had a rollover, you don't get let.go for just one thing.
It's usually a string of things, late delv's, accidents, general pizz poor attitude.
"Straight up I have been with companey for to long . ITs not perfect but better than otheres . YOu have good benfits . IF you need something fixed on the truck or trailor you are not sitting on the side of the road for hours . They will have some one fix your truck with in a hour . If you have to call for anything your not on hold for hours waiting . The trucks are taking care of very well . IF you see anything that needs to be fixed it gets fixed in a good time frame . You are treated very well. Far as dispatch goes very nice people just dont complaine or yell to much or you will loose miles and sit . Dont be late at all . If you are running late make sure you call and give them a reason why . Its a quick way out there door no doubt. They are strict on lates and wrecks . You have to avoid wrecks at all cost take the time to get out and look dont take any chances or you will be out the door no doubt . YOu have to watch your MPg to . As a over all companey I am happy here very much . be out the door no doubt . YOu have to watch your MPg to . As a over all companey I am happy here very much . I hope this helped you out -
Twizzler, have you changed your tune because you were involved in a accident and let go. And your defense is to blame tag axles?
Am I right?
p.s. i dont think there is one driver thar is a fan of tag axles.
most cases i doubt a regular axle setup would prevent accidents.
if we had 240 accidents, how many do you think were tag axle related.
