Con-Way Truckload Drivers: What's Your 20? (2014 edition)

AL I20 exit 104 flying hook. 16 miles from delivery scheduled for 1500 tomorrow. Think they will unload me early? I'll call ops when I get up and see. Subway for dinner...again... Anyone ever get dominos or the hut delivered to a truck stop?

 

661 miles on 10hr 35 min drive 14 hr even (or at least that's what the computer says)

Had to mop out trl.... not part of job description...
Always seem to enjoy sweeping. Mopping not so much. Dunno why?

Hey!!!! Wentzville gm made the entrance a little wider !!! ....or some truck did. I also had a little extra room for my fence spot.


I just drop the trl and go get whatever I want.
Just watch out for idiot company driver of the months that might call and rat you out.

Perfectly fine to utilize freight yards for a drop loaded trl and get some real food. I pulled into Birmingham and the switcher goes "relaying?"

Me goes "nope just a cup of ice and taking a poop."

He asked and he got his answer.

 

We do have God behind us but we like a "Good" tail wind too!

 

Was gonna say ...few good eats near that Bessemer Conway yard ....plus a Dunkin / shell station fuel stop ... Had Zaxbys last time ... Too rich for Cargo .... And not talkin the sauce

 

Well I guess this load needs to deliver Friday and my recap hours will fail that , so I'm relaying it in Lancaster TX on Thursday

I work for con-way months straight no days off no resets.

More of a famous daves chicken tender guy anyway.

Delivered down the road from sugars ribs in Chattanooga when I was there. That place is pretty tasty. Used to stop when I'd go to Daytona Talladega or Atlanta speedways.

 

BT to Calexico, wait all afternoon, go to bed at 9, oops calls at 230, grab empty and DH back to LA. Crap relay and deliver in Ontario. Mind you this is all between 0600 and 1000 so traffic is horrendous. After I delivered, sit for another 24 hours and pick up in Carson, CA at 1000 which fighting even more traffic to get back over there. It will all be worth it when I am sleeping at the house tonight.

Dropped load yesterday in Garysburg,NC at the Lowes DC (dont follow Navigo will try and take you 5 mile past the DC), came back over to Pilot sat for the night got load at 4:50am dh to Whitakers,NC 35 miles away and relay it in Charlotte,NC tonight at Pilot, then dh to Monroe,NC and take that load to Carrollton,TX due by Sat, hoping to get something right out of there, should be in there Friday night.
