Here's some real figures to ponder for anyone considering going to work for Conway Truckload.
    These are actual numbers from my paychecks during my tenure;
    Paycheck per week:
    #1. $714.82
    #2. $724.61
    #3. $485.23
    #4. 698.81
    #5. $440.20
    #6. $570.37
    #7. $987.56
    #8. $557.62
    #9. $77.45
    #10. $661.24
    #11. 624.18
    #12. $745.94
    #13. $649.73
    #14. $639.77
    #15. $437.00
    #16. $743.98
    #17. $606.14
    #18. $791.32
    #19. $319.91
    #20. $398.60
    #21. $1164.90
    #22. $350.27
    #23. $770.56
    #24. $682.31
    #25. $507.43
    #26. $457.95
    #27. $807.41
    #28. $121.18
    #29. $186.72
    #30. $667.89
    #31. $617.19
    #32. $535.62
    #33. $799.73
    #34. $879.30
These paychecks are for the first calendar year that I worked for Conway Truckload. I began in May (starting of first paycheck) and worked through into the next year, so the last paycheck ends on December 30th of this same calendar year.
In 34 weeks, (or 2/3 of a year) I earned a whopping total of $20,422.97. These numbers average out to about $32,000 a year, roughly. The following year was no better.
I busted my tail for this (remember, Conway has a "no load refusal" policy), I drove as much as I could, I rarely went home, I spoke to my managers and I even went to "the top" (I ended up getting it in "the bottom"). The really short weeks are for when the truck was broken down.

I passed the stripes on purpose. I wanted to get as far as I could. Today stopped at eagle pass Walmart and stocked the truck. I get to Laredo and check in. They put me on the board before I deliver. There are about 40 bobtails here. I get unloaded and settled in. I'm gonna watch last Sundays monoco Grand Prix. Shut up, I don't know who won yet! Anyway, I get paged... Huh? I got a live load here in Laredo going to Dallas. By the time I'm loaded, I got 1.5 on the clock. So here I am back at the yard for the night. No idle air for me, too lazy to unhook. There are no delivery menus in the terminal. Any food suggestions? You gotta be quick! I'm hungry!
