It looks like only a little over 600 miles for the week. Not liking this at all. I am sitting all day to deliver late at night. I asked my fleet manager about delivering early, because the load has too much time on it. He said it's a set appointment. Correct me if I am wrong. Doesn't the pay period end tonight after midnight. My question is: How do I explain this when it comes time to pay my bills? You think the standard monthly bills takes a bad week. I may have to call ops supervisor about this one. I am not being productive sitting here this long.

I'd just go & try to deliver early... Where you delivering??
double yellow Thanks this. -
The "special" instructions are wrong 70% of the time. And when you ask Ops "can I deliver early" or "is there overnight parking" -- they just read the same load instructions you have.
Call the customer directly if you have the number -- even when it says don't call. I never had a problem politely asking customers a question and very often I got an entirely different answer.
As for the pay period you are correct. And I would not go into this expecting Con-way to use your time productively -- very often your trailer will be a mobile warehouse and you a security gaurd. While it is possible to average over 2500 miles/week, plan your budget on an average of 2200 & be prepared for some weeks to be below that.NotTheAverageTrucker and paul_4lp Thank this. -
