I'd go Crete .... 21 day OTR =.43 a mile
Abilene express for paper logs and more miles but prob same pay your getting now ( you just won't sit on your arse like you do now )

Ever since I entered slackmode taking breaks way before my time runs out maybe three hrs away from customer. ive been getting over 12.5k miles a month.

Was set for another 3k+ week before this sensor went caput.

When you all mentioned Crete and Abilene. I recalled my mother once told me an old tale one time (God rest her soul). "If the grass appears to be greener. 9 times out of 10, the grass is not greener". As a friend, I will say this, thoroughly research each company.

 

Called Operations on Friday, they forgot to highlight me after I sent in the request last Tuesday in Four Oaks, North Carolina. I asked to speak to John Jamieson. Let's just say, they sent me an apology on the Qualcomm. I told them I have to be home, because our daughter will be making her debut on the 14th of August.

 

The wife and I were watching the late night local news, and during the commercial break. They have these ambulance chasers on there telling people, "If they have been hurt by 18 wheeler accident to call them". They were describing we can only drive 11 hours in a 60 hour work week. I told my wife that the ambulance chaser had one thing right and that is we can legally drive 11 hours, but we operator on a 8 day, 70 hour rule.What the ambulance chaser failed to mention it is unlawful in the state of Kentucky to cut off a truck going down the interstate. I mean come on these 4 wheelers cut right over in front of you, even if the driver is going well below the posted speed limit. I should put a dadgum advertisement up it says, "If you have been lied by an attorney about an 18 wheeler. Call 1-800 ##### whoop".

That's why I've actually grown to enjoy driving in the northeast.(always liked socal)

I actually have power to get around those idiots that proceed to interrupt my cruise.

Hey guys, how long can you run a 12V cooler and the cell phone chargers and stuff overnight if you're not idling. If I shut my engine off I find myself worrying about batteries being dead in the morning. I haven't had any problems yet but I hardly ever get a chance to shut it down cause I'm always down south seems like.
